Little Bay
Little Bay lies nestled in a quiet cove surrounded by weathered sandstone rocks, its aboriginal place name is Boora1 which is the land between Maroubra and Little Bay.
Through the middle of the beach is a storm water drain, and amongst the bits of glass, shells, plastic was a section of a wall from a building. When I saw this through the lens it immediately recalled ruins. The brickwork had been there for some time as it had green weed growing over it, and so had assimilated very neatly into its new home.
In July this year I attended a solar-etching workshop with Seraphina Martin, using photographic compositions
from Little Bay as my main inspiration. In this exhibition I have digitally scanned the prints I made at the workshop.
